Come Home on Historic Route 66...
A few miles of paved Americana passes though our community. The famous black sign with the white shield and a pair of sixes calls Strafford home for this short stretch, and we invite you to make it your home too. Every fall we celebrate the mother road during our Route 66 Days. Our celebration includes a parade, a classic car show, games, and plenty of food. This year the event happened on September 10, and you can see some of this year's images by visiting our photo page. In 2012, it is happening September 8. Be sure to be in Strafford to celebrate Route 66 Days as well as Patriot Day!

Joplin Relief Efforts Continue
As we all know, Joplin was devastated by a tornado on Sunday, May 22. If you are able, please find a way to lend assistance. The city will be in need of help for quite some time. Here is the link to the specific issues, progress they have made and how you can help: Tornado Information. A website has been established to purchase items in support of Joplin with the proceeds benefiting those effected in Joplin: "Restore Joplin" Shop.
